For many years he wanders alone, until one day an orphan boy, Dororo, befriends him. With the death of each one, he regains a part of himself that is rightfully his. The boy lives and grows, and although he cannot see, hear, or feel anything, he must defeat the demons that took him as sacrifice. But as luck would have it, he is saved by a medicine man who provides him with prosthetics and weapons, allowing for him to survive and fend for himself. This child is disposed of in a river and forgotten. When Kagemitsu's first son is born, the boy has no limbs, no nose, no eyes, no ears, nor even skin-yet still, he lives. His prayers are answered by 12 demons who grant him the power he desires by aiding his prefecture's growth, but at a price. The greedy samurai lord Daigo Kagemitsu's land is dying, and he would do anything for power, even renounce Buddha and make a pact with demons. Set in an alternate Edo Period of Japan, Samurai Champloo follows the journey of these three eccentric individuals in an epic quest full of action, comedy, and dynamic sword fighting, all set to the beat of a unique hip-hop infused soundtrack. Despite initially disapproving of this idea, the two eventually agree to assist the girl in her quest thus, the trio embark upon an adventure to find this mysterious warrior-that is, if Fuu can keep Mugen and Jin from killing each other. Though she no longer has a place to return to, the former waitress wishes to find a certain samurai who smells of sunflowers and enlists the help of the now exonerated pair to do so. However, they are rescued by Fuu, who hires the duo as her bodyguards. The only problem is, they end up destroying the entire shop as well as accidentally killing the local magistrate's son.įor their crime, the two samurai are captured and set to be executed. Unfortunately, Mugen decides to pick a fight with the unwilling ronin Jin, who wields a more precise and traditional style of swordfighting, and the latter proves to be a formidable opponent. That is, until she accidentally spills a drink all over one of her customers! With a group of samurai now incessantly harassing her, Fuu desperately calls upon another samurai in the shop, Mugen, who quickly defeats them with his wild fighting technique, utilizing movements reminiscent to that of breakdancing. After a breif fight with the ninja, Jack is inexplicably saved by another ninja.Fuu Kasumi is a young and clumsy waitress who spends her days peacefully working in a small teahouse. Jack quickly realises that it's the work of ninja and flees. After being bested by Jack, Orochi advises him to go to the village of Shindo and visit the Dragon Temple but before he can give his full advise Orochi is struck down by a poisoned blow dart. Although first portrayed as lame, Orochi is actually fighting fit and gives Jack quite a scare. ![]() After another chase through the forest Jack and Orochi begin to fight. Orochi is rumoured to know Dragon Eye so the trio set out for the village of Kabuto to find him. The story then recounts a meeting with this man, who is revealed to be named Orochi. After being shamefully dismissed from the samurai school They're chasing an unknown man through a bamboo forest after this man stole Akiko's pearl. The story then rejoins the protagonist - Jack Fletcher - and his friends, Yamato and Akiko. Dragon Eye has tried and failed to decode the cypher protecting the rutter but his employer reveals that there is a Franciscan monk being kept prisoner that is fluent in both English and Portuguese that should be able to crack it. Dragon Eye's employer and he then discuss Jack's continuing existence and the contents of the rutter. It is soon revealed that the ninja is none other than Dokugan Ryu, the deadly Dragon Eye. When the ninja reaches the main tower, he meets with his employer (identity yet unknown) and hands over John Fletcher's rutter. While evading the patrolling samurai, he slips from shadow to shadow until he reaches his objective, the main tower. The story opens with a ninja breaking into Osaka Castle. But first Jack must recover his father’s prize possession from the deadly ninja Dragon Eye. His survival - and those of his friends - depends upon him mastering the Two Heavens, the secret sword technique of the legendary samurai Masamoto. As the blood begins to flow, Jack’s warrior training is put to the ultimate test. Japan is threatened with war and samurai are taking sides.
